The Toyota Free State hooker, Joseph Dweba, is set for his Super Rugby debut this weekend when the Cheetahs tackle the Western Force in Bloemfontein.

Dweba has been named on the Cheetahs' bench for the match after impressing for the Free State in the Currie Cup qualifiers (Provincial Cup).

Furthermore, the Griffons flyhalf, George Whitehead, is also set for a debut for the Cheetahs after previously plying his trade for the Southern Kings in the Super Rugby series.

Upfront Ox Nche, Torsten van Jaarsveld and Maks van Dyk will form the front row, while Carl Wegener replaces the injured Springbok lock, Lood de Jager, in the second row.

In the backline, Tian Meyer, will start at scrumhalf and he retains the No. 9 jersey from the side's 31-24 loss to the Stormers in Cape Town a month ago. Fred Zeilinga will once again form the halfback combination with Meyer.

Michael van der Spuy runs out at inside-centre, with Nico Lee out due to a fractured eye socket, and William Small-Smith makes his long-awaited return from a foot injury and will warm the bench.

Captain Francois Venter remains at outside centre with Raymond Rhule, Sergeal Petersen and Clayton Blommetjies forming the back three again.

Rhule will also be running for his 50th Super Rugby game for the side.

The Free State XV captain, Reniel Hugo, will also get another crack at Super Rugby and will serve as cover for Uys and Wegner on the bench.
