Bafana Bafana coach, Shakes Mashaba has named his side for this afternoon’s crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Angola in Benguela.

The coach has handed the captains’ armband to goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane of Wits.

Mabokgwane takes over the goalkeeping and captaincy duties from Itumeleng Khune, who has been ruled out of the trip with a knee injury.

Mashaba, who previously declared his attacking intentions opted to field two strikers in the shape of Tokelo Rantie and Thamsanqa Gabuza.

Thulani Serero of Ajax Amsterdam has been given the all clear after picking up a knock in training and will be expected to provide some creativity in the 30 minute along with the likes of Bongani Zungu.

Dean Furman rides the bench for the match but Mabokgwane says he is more than confident with the quality of players in the side.

This afternoon’s qualifier at the Ombaka Stadium in Benguela kicks off at 16:30.
