It was a good weekend for Chippa United who earned their second win of the season with a solid 4-3 win over Chippa United in Potchefstroom.

For Bloemfontein Celtic there was not much to smile about after losing 2-0 to Black Aces at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.

Phunya Sele Sele is still without a win at the newly revamped slaughterhouse thanks to goals by Lebogang Manyama and Eddie Ngalo.

The win sees Muhsin Ertugral’s chargers move to the third position in the standings, one ahead of the defending champions, Kaizer Chiefs.

In Pretoria, Mamelodi Sundowns beat Free State Stars 3-1, while in Polokwane, Platinum Stars lost 1-0 to Polokwane City.

Free State Stars coach Ernst Middendorp said they need to cut out mistakes, but he is not overly concerned about the loss.

Maritzburg United and the Amakhosi played to a 1-1 draw, Wits beat Golden Arrows 3-2 in Johannesburg and in the Mother City Ajax Cape Town suffered a 1-0 defeat to SuperSport United.
