Buchanan set to leave Celtic | News Article
Keagan Buchanan - Kickoff

The exciting Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder, Keagan Buchanan, will be departing the club at the end of the season.

The player is linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, and Celtic's CEO, Kumbalani Konco, confirmed on Tuesday morning that the player will be leaving.

Buchanan’s contract at Phunya Sele Sele expires shortly and it is believed that the Amakhosi moved quickly to secure his signature.

The player has been sidelined since January after rupturing his ACL in a freak training ground accident in January.

Since moving to Celtic from Cape Town FC, it’s the second successive season the player has been forced to spend the most of his time on the sidelines due to similar injuries.

Meanwhile, the rock solid and versatile Bafana Bafana winger, Thapelo Morena, has said he would like to play for Chiefs, Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns.

Since January, Morena, has been linked with a move to Chiefs or Sundowns.

The Premier Soccer League concludes this weekend and, following a tough season, Celtic will be looking to end on a high when they host Polokwane City at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.

Saturday’s match kicks off at 15:00.
