The Premier Soccer League club, Golden Arrows, have their sight set on the Bloemfontein Celtic striker, Lerato Lamola.

The club confirmed that they are after Lamola and they look to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season.

The club has extended the contract of their coach, Clinton Larsen, after he joined Arrows on an interim base following his departure from Celtic.

Should Lamola leave Celtic it will put a lot of pressure on the club’s attack following the confirmed exit of strikers Helder Pelembe and Hellings Mhango.

Furthermore, the Burundian marksman, Fiston Abdul Razak, has returned to Mamelodi Sundowns following his loan spell. The player isn’t in the PSL Champions’ future plans and it’s unknown whether or not he will return to Celtic.

Reports are also suggesting that Celtic are trying to sell the Ugandan international striker, Geoffrey Massa, due to his contract at Celtic being unaffordable.

The 20-year-old striker, Tshegofatso Mabaso, told OFM Sport that he feels his third season at Phunya Sele Sele will be his breakthrough season.

“Yes I think it is for me as well as I’m only turning 20-years-old this year.

“I’ve really been working hard. I think that this year will be my breakthrough year in professional soccer.”

Celtic start their preseason on Tuesday 28 June ahead of their 2016/17 PSL campaign.
