Highlands Park and Bloemfontein Celtic each had to settle for a single league point last night with the two sides playing to a 1-1 draw in their re-played Premier Soccer League fixture.


The PSL clash at the Makhulong Stadium was replayed last night after their match last week was called off after 20 minutes due to lighting.

Gordon Igesund’s Highlands Park took the lead in the 21st minute after Motobi Mvala found the back of the net.

With 21 minute remaining in the game, Phunya Sele Sele, found an equaliser with the midfielder, Mpho Maruping hitting his target.

The results sees Celtic move up one place in the standings to 12, while Highlands Park move off the bottom of the log, are now occupy the 15th place. One point clean of Free State Stars.

There are no more PSL matches this week due to the Telkom Knockout Final between SuperSport United and Cape Town City of Saturday.

Celtic will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Soweto to face Kaizer Chiefs.
