Ek is in Newcastle (KZN) gebore maar het my skoolloopbaan in Pretoria voltooi. Na skool wou ek ‘n loopbaan as kitaarspeler volg, maar my ouers was vreemd skepties…

Instead of registering for a formal course at varsity, I enrolled at the University of Life and travelled extensively around the world. Today I’m very grateful for my QBE. (Qualified By Experience).

The route to radio
Perhaps the most important thing my travels taught me was that a “real” job would never be an option. I’ve always been an entertainer at heart, so after my return, I started hanging around at a community station. With a stroke of luck, the programme manager eventually offered me a job.
