For those of you who have been wondering just what Ella Hendersonhas been up to of late, the singer has confirmed she will return with new musicin the New Year.

In a mailerto her fans, Ella said she has had a "busy couple of years in the studiowriting my new album and I'm so excited to share it with you reallysoon!" 

She added:"I can't wait until the New Year for you hear some new musicthough!" 

Ellarecently posted a photo on Instagram in the studio with DJ/producer Jax Joneswith the caption: "Recording something very special today." 

Ella issupporting James Arthur's upcoming 11-date 'Back From The Edge' arena tour,which kicks off on November 16 in Leeds.

It's beenjust over three years since Ella released her debut album Chapter One, whichdebuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart and is certified Platinum withsales of 453,000. 

The collection spawned three hit songs; Top 20 singles Yours and Glow plus the chart-topping Ghost, the latter of which has notched up 1.4m combined sales to date.
