#Matric exams kick off─── OLEBOGENG MOTSE 08:25 Mon, 15 Oct 2018
The first exam for the National Senior Certificates is to start on Monday.
Over 30 000 candidates countrywide are expected to write today’s Computer Application Technology exam, which will be followed by the practical Information Technology exam a few days later.
Exams are expected to get into full swing on October 22, when more learners will begin writing.
MEC of Education in the Free State, Tate Makgoe attended a prayer service for students in Bloemfontein on Sunday, where he wished them luck ahead of the exams period.
These examinations also mark the first time, the Department of Basic Education will be administering exams in sign language to 58 learners across 10 schools in the country.
