Farmworker unrest claims a life in Wolseley

───   13:56 Wed, 14 Nov 2012

Wolseley - Western Cape police has confirmed that an 28-year-old man has died during the farm worker unrest in Wolseley. Spokesperson André Traut says five other people were hurt in the same incident.

This comes after a photographer was briefly hospitalised after being injured during protest action in Ashton this morning.

Die Burger confirmed on its Facebook page that acclaimed photographer Lulama Zenzile was wounded while photographing a farmworker protest at Ashton. A stone hit him in the face, causing some blood loss. He was admitted to hospital in Robertson, but was released shortly after.

He is now apparently back at the scene of the protest.
