A power outage has turned out to be one of the challenges faced by the IEC in the Free State.
OFM News’ Katleho Morapela reports from the IEC’s Results Operation Centre in Bloemfontein that it is currently lights out.
“We are actually sitting in the dark while the electorate officials are hard at work trying to restore power and put in place their contingency measures,” says Morapela.
The IEC’s provincial manager, Itumeleng Liba, has confirmed to OFM News that they have a number of generators which will soon kick in and that the on-going power cuts at the centre is not a big deal and will not affect the elections in the Free State.
