This morning, a long queue of both young and old hopeful voters could be seen at the Langenhoven Park Library.

According to one FF Plus party representative, Zandré Snyman, this specific voting station has been very busy since 07:00 this morning and the queue has been moving with little to no hiccups.

Bloemfontein Courant reports Cheri Jacobs from Langenhoven Park is hopeful that her vote will make a difference in the city of Mangaung. “I care about my city, I don’t want to be one of those people who sit back and complain that things are not happening,” Jacobs said. She believes you have to be part of the change you want to see in the world.

Another Langenhoven Park resident, Motheo Jabari, explained that he decided to vote because it is important to ensure they get service delivery from the municipality in their area. “Also, it is important for one to exercise one’s constitutional right.”

Zonique van Wyk said it is important to vote, as she has noticed many young people across the country do not want to vote. “So I am trying to do things differently by voting and starting to vote at a young age.”
