Your provincial options in the Free State:

  1. African Christian Democratic Party - The ACDP is a caring Christian Democratic party aspiring to bring stability, prosperity and hope to our nation. “We value unity with diversity, offering leadership of trust and integrity with a passionate commitment to address the needs of all the people of South Africa.”

  2. African Content Movement - This party vows to stand for South Africa’s culture and tradition. “We are going to make sure we know who we are as South Africans. What is more important, this movement, (this) animal – (is) African first. Anything we produce will be 90% African.”

  3. African Covenant - To establish a God-fearing Government by building a united, respected, orderly and prosperous Republic of South Africa.

  4. African Democratic Change - ADEC exists as a result of the calls to create a political home where all South Africans can feel at home. It is our duty as ADEC to reignite the torch of our liberators and fulfil their mission of creating a unified and prosperous country and people.

  5. African National Congress - The African National Congress (ANC) is South Africa's governing party and has been in power since the transition to democracy in April 1994. The organisation was initially founded as the South African Native National Congress (SANNC) on 8 January 1912 in Bloemfontein, with the aim of fighting for the rights of black South Africans.

  6. African People’s Convention - This party stands to be a viable, credible and progressive alternative governing party, meeting the economic, social, political and cultural needs of our people through mass mobilisation.

  7. African Transformation Movement – This movement is a South African political party formed to transform South Africans to a better society that upholds and lives by the values of peace, Ubuntu, transformation, servant leadership and accountability.

  8. African Alliance of Social Democrats - AASD is a modern Pan Afrikan Social Democratic Party that subscribes to the notion of a fair and just political order based on effective citizen participatory democracy. AASD subscribes to accountable, ethical and competent leadership based on people’s will. This political party believes in the supremacy of the South African Constitution as well as the rule of law and subscribes to universal human rights and humane society.

  9. Agang SA - This political party aims to deliver a top 10 education system globally and make decisions accordingly. Incremental change will no longer be accepted. The pass rate will immediately be 50%. We aim to fill teacher vacancies, upgrade infrastructure, set minimum standards for all elements of the education system so that parents know what they should expect from government and can hold it accountable. We also will top up social grants for education results.

  10. Alliance for Transformation for All - Central to our manifesto is to turn around the transport system in this country, to have taxi commuters subsidised by national government because the buses as well as the trains are getting a subsidy.

  11. Azanian People’s Organisation - One of the main objectives of this party is to organise, mobilise and lead the oppressed people of Azania towards the elimination of neo-colonialism, capitalism, imperialism and all other forms of oppression in our country.

  12. Congress of the People - The Congress of the People is committed to ensuring that the public is served by a party operating on the basis of integrity and with high moral and ethical standards.

  13. Democratic Alliance - The DA’s historic mission is the ‘open society for all’ and this is to establish for the first time in our history a fair society which will enable the South African people to unleash their talents and ingenuity so that they can realise their full potential.

  14. Economic Freedom Fighters - The EFF is a radical and militant economic emancipation movement, formed  in the year 2013 with the aim of bringing together revolutionary, militant activists, community-based organisations as well as lobby groups under the umbrella of the political party pursuing the struggle of economic emancipation.

  15. Good - Good is based on four founding principles — spatial, social, economic and environmental justice. 

  16. Inkatha Freedom Party - The IFP exists as a political party to serve the people of South Africa, and to do so in the spirit of ubuntu/botho. “Our primary purpose is to serve. It is why we exist. We contest elections and we seek power in order to serve the people by addressing their needs. We are servants, not masters, of the people.”

  17. National Freedom Party - The NFP serves to promote, secure and motivate a society that is not only politically emancipated but also to ensure that, through empowerment and meaningful service delivery, substantive economic emancipation is achieved.

  18. Pan African Congress of Azania - Pan-Africanism is aimed at the economic, intellectual and political cooperation of the African countries. It demands that the riches of the continent be used for the enlistment of its people.

  19. Patriotic Alliance - PA is here to improve all of South Africa, whether you are white, black, coloured, Indian or anything else. PA will work towards a time when all people will be demonstrably equal.

  20. Power of Africans Unity - The purpose of this party is to promote solidarity between African nations and to eliminate colonialism in Africa.

  21. Socialist Revolutionary Workers Party - The goals of the party include fighting capitalism, which it claims is a failed system in South Africa.

  22. SA National Congress of Traditional Authorities - The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa is a political lobby group which represents many traditional leaders and chiefs in South Africa. It seeks to work with the South African government, which is currently led by the African National Congress (ANC) towards a more unified and strong South Africa.

  23. United Democratic Movement - The UDM will unite South Africans from all communities in a new political home built on the foundation of the principles and ideals of our National Constitution. To this end, we will address poverty and imbalances in our society, inspired by our unifying love of our Country and its people. We will set free the creative power inherent in our diversity and will cooperate with all stakeholders to ensure a quality life and individual freedom for every citizen, based on good governance and civil order, towards being a Winning Nation.

  24. Vryheidsfront Plus - We are plagued by crime, unemployment, corruption, discrimination and land expropriation. To name a few of the many solutions: to defeat the ANC with coalition politics; stop policies and legislation that hamper job creation; stop racial discrimination; stop affirmative action and black economic empowerment based on race only.

  25. Women Forward - The Women Forward political party which advocates for the rights of women has vowed to monitor that government implements the Gender-Based Violence declaration. 

  26. Forum 4 Service Delivery - The Forum 4 Service Delivery (F4SD) aims to educate and give power back to residents and ensure appreciation to all that is constitutionally within their reach.

  27. African Congress of Democrats - The African Congress of Democrats is a South African political party that describes itself as being committed to leadership that is honest, has integrity, in accordance with the principles and ideals of a moderate left and working within the established system to approve social justice.

  28. African Independent Congress - This party is one of the political formations created and crafted post-democracy to provide true leadership and to deepen democracy, to remove poverty and to place our people into the centre stage of government. The AIC refutes anarchism. “We refuse to subject ourselves to unbecoming tendencies of void of leadership and political bankruptcy as in the current dispensation .”

Despite a name which strongly hints at evangelical Christianity, the party’s manifesto scarcely mentions God.
