South Africa recorded 9,860 new Covid-19 infections in the past day.
The Western Cape has overtaken KwaZulu-Natal with the most cases, recording 2,632. Gauteng is second with 2,123 new infections.
KZN recorded just over 2,000 and the Eastern Cape has just over 1,000 new cases.
A total of just over 400 new hospital admissions have been reported.
Almost 47,000 tests were conducted with a 21 percent positivity rate.
Sadly, 45 more people have died.
