Roleplayers act swiftly to control foot-and-mouth disease outbreak in Limpopo─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 06:46 Thu, 10 Jan 2019
The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) has confirmed an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease, also known as FMD, in a village in the Vhembe District in Limpopo.
This comes after cattle in the area tested positive. The spokesperson of the department, Khaye Nkwanyana, says all roleplayers acted swiftly following reports of cattle with lameness in the area at the weekend. These areas are just outside the FMD control zone in the free zone without vaccination.
