Police successful in apprehending stock thieves in North West | News Article

Police in North West made good ground in the fight against agricultural related crimes when four suspected stock thieves were arrested in two separate incidents in the province recently.

Police spokesperson, Aafje Botma, says Adriaan Human, a cattle speculator and George Ketshabang, were arrested in connection with the alleged theft of 25 cattle worth R300 000 in the Biesiesvlei area last Thursday. In another incident, Mohau Maselo and Pitso Montwedi were arrested in the Schweizer-Reneke area last Wednesday. They could not prove that a total of 13 alleged stolen sheep, tied under a plastic at the back of a bakkie they were driving, belonged to them.
