Black farmers should not be excluded in public-private initiatives─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 04:56 Thu, 27 Jun 2019
The African Farmer’s Association of South Africa, Afasa, welcomes the public-private growth inistiative, but wants government to note that farmers and particularly black farmers, should not be excluded.
Neo Masithela, chairperson of Afasa, says these farmers will not accept work or plans done for farmers without their input. He says the Agricultural Sector Unity Forum (Asuf) is in this regard important as it has already worked on the long-term agricultural sector plan to be finalised soon.
