In our Friday insert, only on Before Dawn, OFM News’ Vernon Baumann speaks to Denine Erasmus about what to expect in their latest edition of Farmer’s Weekly
Erasmus focuses on 23 August’s issue of Farmer’s Weekly, in which the magazine reports on a new programme for aspiring black auctioneers as well as Free State farmers who discussed safety and stock theft during the annual Free State Agricultural Congress.
There’s also a report on the red meat industry which is struggling to recover its losses after the foot and mouth outbreak from earlier this year.
Erasmus discusses the cover story, which looks at farming with flowers and the successful farmer from the Western Cape who now exports orchids.
Finally, Farmer’s Weekly focuses on a farmer from Soweto who now supplies the people from Soweto and surrounding areas with poultry from his growing farm.
