Pollen report for 4 - 11 March 2021─── 12:03 Fri, 05 Mar 2021
Allergy sufferers take note: this week’s Pollen Report from the University of Cape Town Lung Institute shows that grass pollen levels continue to be high in the Free State and Northern Cape.
In Bloemfontein, the grass count remained high. Mould levels increased to high and significant levels of Cladosporium and Alternaria were recorded. Tree and weed levels were low. These included false olive and cypress for trees, and dandelion and goosefoot for weeds.
In Kimberley, grass levels were high. Low tree counts were detected for eucalyptus and elm. Mould levels increased to moderate, with very high levels of Alternaria. The low weed count included waxberry and the daisy family.
