Man arrested for alleged theft of 30 sheep in NW─── 05:50 Mon, 06 Jan 2020
A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with the alleged theft of 30 sheep outside Klerksdorp, North West police said on Sunday.
Spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh said the man was arrested on Saturday at a smallholding in Klerksdorp after police found him in possession of six suspected stolen sheep.
She said the sheep - worth R110,000 - was allegedly stolen at a farm on the N12 between Klerksdorp and Wolmaransstad between Friday and Saturday.
"He is expected to appear in the Klerksdorp Magistrate's Court soon," she said.
