Body of missing child found─── MARVIN NTSANE 14:02 Fri, 14 Feb 2020
The body of the 15-month-old Mpho Kgoroyadira was found at an open field in Jouberton, North West, yesterday. The police spokesperson, Adel Myburgh, says a search was conducted by the police, local councillor and community members.
This led to the gruesome discovery of Kgoroyadira’s decomposed body hidden underneath a rock. A case of murder is under investigation and no arrests have been made yet.
North West Police Commissioner,Sello Kwena, thanked the community of Jouberton for their support and assistance in searching for the missing child. OFM News previously reported that Kgoroyadira was kidnapped on Saturday 1 February 2020 while she was sleeping with her 22-year-old mother in a house in Extension 12.
Her mother woke up and realised that there was a person in their house. The unknown suspect grabbed Kgoroyadira and fled the scene on foot. The suspect was not seen after the incident and a kidnapping case was opened.
The police are asking anyone with information that can assist with the investigations, to come forward.
