A community briefing on the Amendment Bill of Land Expropriation without compensation happened in Kagisanong Hall in Bloemfontein, Free State, today.
Madoda Nombanda, from Parliament, was available to address the briefing. He told community members to prepare their questions and suggestions for the Amendment Bill.
Community members attended in numbers to listen to the briefing and give their inputs about what they understand about land expropriation without compensation. A member of the community, Motsamai Thulo, mentioned how the amendment of section 25 will be beneficial to economic growth in the country. He mentioned things such as farm ownership, receiving business sites and raw materials processing are crucial subjects on the matter.
Nombanda said the official public hearings will take place on Sunday, 1 March 2020, at the same venue.
