Both teams got off to a flying start in the tournament with respective 8 wicket wins during round one of the competition.

The captain Theunis de Bruyn scored an unbeaten 78 while David Miller scored an unbeaten 62 runs to lead the Knights across the line against the Warriors in Port Elizabeth.

Shadley van Schalkwyk was the pick of the bowlers with his three wickets, while Marchant de Lange and Eddie Leie each claimed two scalps.

De Bruyn told OFM Sport that they learnt a lot during that victory, but it’s important not to get complacent.

“We were under pressure to be quiet honest, it wasn’t easy batting.

“I learnt a lot in that game and I think David as well, but like I said that is all in the past right now and it’s a distant memory.

“Want is really important now is to make new memories in the next game and not to get too complacent.”

This evening’s match at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley gets underway at 18:00.
