Aussies name strong side for warm-up─── ADRIAN BOTHA 10:10 Thu, 22 Feb 2018
Australian cricket has named their strongest possible side to face the South African 'A' side in a 3-day warm-up match to be played at Willowmoore Park in Benoni from Thursday.
While the South Africa 'A' side includes names such as Khaya Zondo, Theunis de Bruyn, Beuran Hendricks, Duanne Olivier and Rudi Second, the Baggy Greens are basically at full strength barring opening batsman, David Warner, who is still doing national T20 duty in New Zealand.
The three-day match will be Australia's only match practice in the country before the four-match Test series and includes Mitchel Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon who have all gotten the nod.
The first of four tests between the Proteas and Australia starts in Durban on March 1 while the Protea T20 side still have a series decider against India to play in Cape Town on Saturday.
