Royal wedding happiness!

Final preparations were underway as anticipation reached fever pitch for the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, ahead of the mother-of-the-bride’s meeting with Queen Elizabeth II.

Doria Ragland is expected to meet the Queen at Windsor Castle, where the ceremony will take place, while speculation had been rife over who will walk the bride down the aisle after it was confirmed her father Thomas Markle would not attend.

Royal Wedding full schedule: All times are SAST.

10:00 Members of the public who scored an invite to watch from the grounds of Windsor Castle begin to arrive.

10:30 – 12:00 Wedding guests will start arriving.

12:20 Members of the royal family start to arrive.

12:45 Harry and his brother William are expected to arrive at the Chapel’s West Steps.

12:55 The Queen will be the last member of the royal family to arrive.

12:59 Meghan Markle is expected to arrive t the Chapel’s West Steps by car, from her overnight accommodation. She will be joined by bridesmaids and pageboys.

13:00 The wedding service will begin.

14:00 The service will end and the newlyweds will emerge. They will be waved off on their carriage procession through Windsor by members of both families.

14:05: A carriage procession will begin and make its way through the streets of Windsor.

20:00 The couple will leave for the evening reception Frogmore House hosted by the Prince of Wales.

How to watch the 2018 Royal Wedding in South Africa

You will be able to watch it live. ITV Choice (DStv 123) will broadcast it live, starting at 10:25.

BBC Lifestyle (DStv 174) and BBC World News (DStv 400) will also have footage from the big day.
