Demi Lovato overdoses

Demi Lovato ‘s journey to recovery continues.

Almost a month after revealing she had relapsed, she was hospitalized following an overdose this week.

Lovato has battled addiction, mental illness and disordered eating for years. In 2010 she entered a Chicago-area rehab facility, where she was treated for bipolar disorder, bulimia, self-harm and addiction. She relapsed after she left the treatment center, then entered a sober living facility for a year.

She is awake and doing well while in hospital.

PEOPLE confirmed Lovato was rushed to a hospital from her Hollywood Hills.

Audio of the emergency call obtained by TMZ revealed the pop star was unconscious upon their arrival and revived with Narcan — an emergency medication to reverse the effects of a narcotic overdose.

Lovato remains in hospital.

“She is doing okay, but is still being monitored,” a fourth source told PEOPLE, adding that it’s now “safe” for Lovato to leave the hospital if she is so inclined.

10 year ban for Shashi

Model and actress Shashi Naidoo has received a 10-year ban from Israel after she tried to enter the West Bank to educate herself about Israel’s occupation of Palestine.

After visiting Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan, Naidoo was to enter the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) through the Allenby Border Crossing in Jordan.

Speaking from Jordan to journalist, Paula Slier, Naidoo said she had been interrogated at the border, and her passport was stamped - preventing her from returning for a decade.

Naidoo was reportedly denied passage on the orders of the Israeli interior minister Aryeh Deriand on the recommendation of Israel's Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan.

Naidoo joins a growing list of South Africans who have been denied passage to Palestine including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Minister Blade Nzimande, World Council of Churches leader Isabel Phiri, and many others South African citizens.

Johnny Depp on a downward spiral?

Once he was the most magnificently cool anti-hero in Hollywood. At 55, though, he is drunk, broke and lonely.

Johnny Depp will surely live to regret the narcissistic impulse which led him to ask a Rolling Stone magazine journalist to come and spend a few days with him.

The resulting 10 000-word profile, published on Thursday, was intended to counter a long article about his disastrous finances in the Hollywood Reporter magazine and to prove he is the victim of larcenous management.

Instead, it reads like a long suicide note to his career by a man now crippled by drink and drug abuse.

Amber Heard said that he brutalised her and left her in fear of her life. She filed for divorce in 2016 after 15 months of marriage. The couple married in February 2015.

Johnny Depp is finding these accusations very hard to deal with and the emotional turmoil is affecting him negatively.

Hopefully things will pick up for him but for now we just wait and watch.
