Two arrested for murder and hijacking in Brits─── MARK STEENBOK 17:38 Mon, 09 Jan 2017
Brits - Two men, aged 28 and 35 respectively, are expected to appear in court tomorrow in connection with the hijacking of a couple and murder of the man in Brits over the weekend.
North West police spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, says the suspects allegedly hijacked a couple at Extension 2, Soshanguve, yesterday. He says the suspects drove away with the couple in the direction of De Wildt in Mmakau.
Mokgwabone says the woman was dropped along the way where she then called for police assistance.
It is alleged that the suspects then stopped the car, shot and killed the man and fled on foot.
“While fleeing on foot they shot a passer-by in his shoulder. The police continued to search for the suspects and managed to arrest them. A firearm was also found in their possession. They are expected to appear in the Brits Magistrate's Court tomorrow on charges of murder and attempted murder,” says Mokgwabone.
