No arrests yet, after 2 FS farm attacks─── DANE BEISHEIM 17:05 Fri, 21 Apr 2017
Bloemfontein - The police in the Free State are still searching for two suspects linked to the killing of a farmer from Ladybrand.
67-year old Dirk du Randt was murdered last night on his farm Elim between Ladybrand and the Maseru border post. His mother was also present at the time, but did not sustain any injuries. Police spokesperson Phumelelo Dhlamini said the suspects were seen wearing white overcoats and white gumboots. They also stole a shotgun from a safe in the house.
Meanwhile, no No arrests have yet been made in connection with the murder of the 48-year-old farmer, Piet Van den Berg and his house worker Tsietso Elizabeth Matsabisa either. They were shot and killed in Van den Berg’s house on his farm Pharoosfontein in the Wepener district, yesterday morning at about 11:00. Police spokesperson, Yanga Ngcukana says the number of suspects and what was stolen from the farmhouse is still being investigated.
