Police looking for guesthouse robbery suspects─── 15:29 Thu, 22 Jun 2017
Bloemfontein - The police are looking for four suspects involved in the armed robbery of a guesthouse in Universitas last night.
The suspects allegedly fled on foot with two safes containing an undisclosed amount of money and cell phones after holding a receptionist at gunpoint and ransacking the office. According to the SAPS’s Chaka Marope, the guesthouse is situated in Walter Sisulu Road.
“The men allegedly entered the reception area pretending to be customers looking for accommodation. Then within a short while, they pulled out firearms and held the receptionist at gunpoint.
"We request anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the Park Road Police Station at 051 507 6000,” says Marope.
The robbery allegedly took place last night at around 23:00.
