Lawyer expected in dock for farm shooting─── 15:41 Fri, 23 Jun 2017
Polokwane - A prominent lawyer allegedly implicated in a farm shooting is set to appear in the Thabamoopo Magistrate's Court on Friday.
He was arrested after four people were shot and wounded on the Zebediela Citrus farm on Thursday.
It was alleged the suspect had a meeting with some of the employees in his company offices there and during the meeting, a fight ensued.
The suspect allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot four people aged 32 ,50, 52 and 38 years, before fleeing the scene in his vehicle.
"The injured employees were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds for medical treatment after receiving the first aid from the local clinic," said police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.He said they were still investigating the cause of shooting.
