Clinics in NW re-opened after Nehawu strike | News Article

Bloemfontein - Everything is back to normal at clinics and hospitals in North West that were affected by the recent week-long Nehawu strike.

The data capturer at the Morokwaneng Clinic, Boikhanyo Magabe, confirmed that the clinic was re-opened today after Nehawu Health members in the province were ordered to return to work by the Labour Court pending further negotiations with the North West Health Department. The Morokwaneng Clinic is one of the many healthcare facilities around North West that were shut down due to the strike. Others include the Morokweng Community Health Centre, Moses Kotane Hospital and the Ganyesa District Hospital. Magabe says that all the employees at the clinic are back at work and the clinic is up and running again.

“Our facility was closed yesterday due to the Nehawu strike. Today we are on duty and the facility is now fully functioning.” says Magabe, she goes on to add that patients are again being serviced by clinic staff.”
