Farm attack suspects to apply for bail─── 15:57 Tue, 25 Jul 2017
The two suspects that were arrested in connection with the attack on Louis Kotze on his farm near Theunissen last week are expected to apply for bail on Friday.
Police spokesperson, Mamello Mokhuoane, says the 22-year-old Mokhele Mokhele and the 20-year-old Teboho Mokoena appeared in the Theunissen Magistrate’s Court yesterday where the case was postponed.
The two suspects and a third assailant allegedly stabbed the 50-year-old Kotze with a garden fork in the chest after he’d returned home last Thursday evening. The police said the suspects then fled with two bags of clothing that were later found about four to five metres away from the scene.
The suspects face charges of attempted murder and theft. They remain in custody. More arrests are expected.
