There has been an alleged cash-in-transit heist on the notorious N8 road between Bloemfontein and Botshabelo this afternoon.
OFM News is currently at the scene on the N8 route, where there has also been an accident involving the cash-in-transit vehicle. Law enforcement agencies are currently on the scene.
It is alleged that there was a shoot-out aimed at the cash in transit vehicle a few minutes ago.
Police spokesperson, Thandi Mbambo, is yet to confirm whether there was any money stolen and whether there were any injuries.
Traffic officers on the scene are currently directing motorists heading to Bloemfontein to be cautious and use one lane while the accident scene is being cleared.
