Widespread corruption found in NW departments─── OLEBOGENG MOTSE 07:48 Fri, 15 Jun 2018
An assessment by the Inter-Ministerial Task Team on North West found that complaints of widespread corruption, lack of service delivery and the appointment of incompetent officials by residents were substantiated.
This is according to the chairperson of the task team, Mpumi Mpofu, during a briefing in parliament. The task team was appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa after civil protests rocked the province with complaints including the collapsed health services and calls for former Premier Supra Mahumapelo to resign.
OFM’s Olebogeng Motse reports Mpofu said the team found major problems in provincial departments and even bigger ones at municipal level.
