The police in the Free State have registered cases of murder and business burglary after the body of an alleged intruder was found lying on top a shops roof in Qwaqwa.
Police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring says it is alleged that the owner of the shop located in the Mangaung Village in Namahadi heard sounds on the roof and fired a shot through a broken window.
He says the owner later went to investigate, and found the body of the man, with a gunshot wound, hanging on top of the roof.
Mophiring adds that the iron-bars in the shop were cut just enough for a person to gain entry into the shop. The police were summoned at about 1:30 where they found the body of the unknown man.
