Police searching for Spar robbery suspects─── JOSCA HUMAN 10:54 Wed, 26 Sep 2018
Police are still searching for six suspects after the Spar in Langenhovenpark in Bloemfontein was robbed the weekend.
The suspects, armed with pistols and rifles, were wearing balaclavas and raided the shop on Saturday at approximately 20:30. Police spokesperson, Thabo Covane, says they disarmed the security guard and took his firearm. He confirmed shots were fired randomly.
Police spokesperson, Wendy Nkabi, tells OFM News no arrests have yet been made, as the suspects made a speedy escape. No injuries have been reported.
Nkabi says the suspects ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police and authorities were quick to arrive on the scene after a panic button activated an alarm which alerted the security company. Anyone with information about the robbery, are requested to contact their nearest police station.
