WATCH: #WasteStopsWithMe: Toyota Cheetahs, community clean up Heidedal─── MOLEBOGENG MALEBO 16:33 Tue, 23 Oct 2018
The Toyota Cheetahs, together with the community members of Heidedal and the learners of Heide Primary School, took to the streets for the #WasteStopsWithMe clean-up campaign in support of Miss Earth SA, Margo Fargo.
The Bloemfontein native is currently in the Philippines to represent South Africa in the Miss Earth pageant. The Toyota Cheetahs took off some time to contribute to the campaign before Saturday’s fixture against the Cardiff Blues.
The clean-up started at Heide Primary and continued to the vacant land near Twin City Mall. Waste was gathered along the clean-up route as part of the community’s efforts to keep the streets of Heidedal clean while also contributing to the #WasteStopsWithMe cause.
Locals are encouraged to show their support of the #FillUpToyotaStadium challenge. This campaign is also a means to show support for Fargo. A percentage of the rugby ticket sales will go towards Fargo’s expenses of her stay in the Philippines.
The match, which will kick off at 19:15, promises to be something that cannot be missed.
