FS premier throws Christmas party for vulnerable kids─── 15:54 Wed, 19 Dec 2018
Scores of vulnerable and previously disadvantaged children from Mangaung this afternoon went home with smiles on their faces after they received Christmas presents from the Free State premier, Sisi Ntombela, at the Mangaung Outdoor Center.
Close to a thousand children showed up with great excitement all around. The young ones who had their faces painted and danced to music as they received presents.
The Christmas party, which is the second one in the space of a week, follows a very successful one held in Tweeling last week.
Ntombela says they want to give hope to children who normally would not receive Christmas presents in this special season. She wished the children a wonderful festive season.
It's wonderful to see children going home with presents like many other kids in their areas."
"Please be careful. Don't play out until late with your friends because there are horrible people out there who do terrible things to children. I wish you all a merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year," she says.
She further urged the corporate world and other stakeholders to support this initiative and says they hope it would grow by leaps and bounds.
