The African National Congress (ANC) has announced that the President Cyril Ramaphosa will pay back the R500k ‘donation’ from Bosasa.
The party announced that the president has called for investigations in all funds deposited in the party’s trust fund account.
“The president confirmed that he was not aware of the money and also that it was deposited in the party’s trust fund account, he has since then called for investigations in all donations that were deposited in the account for the presidential campaign,” ANC NEC member Zizi Kodwa said.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Alliance (DA) leader, Mmusi Maimane, has called for the president to resign from the office.
