FS Education to assess storm damage at school─── 12:27 Thu, 21 Jan 2021
The Free State Education Department confirms its infrastructure team has been dispersed to the Sehlabeng Secondary School in Ladybrand where a heavy storm blew away the roof of the administration block.
Spokesperson Howard Ndaba confirms the department will assess the damage on Thursday and chart a way forward. He says MEC Tate Makgoe has confirmed this is in an effort to avoid the situation from adversely affecting learning and teaching when schools reopen in February.
OFM News earlier reported that the heavy storms in the province caused damage to the school and private property in Vaalbank at Bloemfontein.
