Dlamini-Zuma to give update on election developments─── 09:22 Tue, 03 Aug 2021
Cogta Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma will give an update on developments regarding the election.
The Moseneke report recommended the municipal polls be postponed to no later than February next year.
It's citing the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, saying the situation is not conducive to hold free and fair elections.
The IEC has adopted the report.
It had two options, approach the courts to grant a deferment or ask Parliament to change the constitution.
It says the Parliamentary process will take too long, and has decided to approach the Constitutional Court.
