SA’s #Covid19 positivity rate shows a significant decrease─── 09:23 Mon, 06 Sep 2021
South Africa has recorded a significant decrease in the number of Covid-19 cases, while the daily positivity rate is also lower.
Statistics released by the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) on Sunday evening, show that the country’s positivity rate has fallen to 14.5%.
The number of new Covid-19 cases decreased to 5 931 infections recorded in the latest 24 hour period.
A further 76 Covid-19 deaths have been reported, bringing the country’s total fatalities to 83 419.
KwaZulu-Natal and the Western and Eastern Cape continue to account for the most new number of infections.
