Title deeds issued to Dihlabeng residents─── 14:28 Thu, 21 Oct 2021
About 350 title deeds were issued to residents of Vogelfontein and Bethlehem in the Dihlabeng local municipality in the Free State on Wednesday.
The provincial department of Human Settlements, in conjunction with the local municipality, handed them to the owners of the sites.
Human Settlements MEC, Tshidi Koloi, says her department had noticed that most of Dihlabeng's residents stay in the informal settlement, while others are renting.
She further indicated that there will be an allocation of 750 sites in Paul Roux, 1 200 in Ficksburg, and 400 in Clarens.
She adds that the infrastructure will be in place before any allocation can be finalised.
