OFM News’ agri editor recently joined Chris Godfrey of a no-dig food gardening initiative known as Kos en Kosmos as she and a group of volunteers laid out a veggie garden at the Olea Cancer Care home in Brandwag Bloemfontein.
Godfrey, who is a breast cancer survivor, says she first founded the initiative as Kos en Fynbos in George in the Cape when she needed access to healthy foods but was told gardening is a no-no due to possible injury to her lymph system.
