After an enthralling 23-21 victory over the Sharks at Emirates Airlines Park on Saturday, the Lions have progressed to the semi-finals of Super Rugby.
The Lions would later become the sole South African team remaining in the competition after Mzansi's other hopefuls, the Stormers suffered a 17-11 loss to the Chiefs at Newlands in Cape Town.
In the weekends other semi-final clashes, the defending champions, the Hurricanes beat the Brumbies 35-16 while the Crusaders showed incredible defense and discipline to beat the Highlanders 17-0.
The past weekends results have set up 2 mouth watering fixtures in the form of the Crusaders who will host the Chiefs in Christchurch while Lions host the Hurricanes in a repeat of the 2016 Super Rugby final.
