The competition resumes this weekend, albeit while the international window is still open.

It is expected that a fit looking Clayton Blommetjies will be starting at fullback, although the coach Rory Duncan also has AJ Coertzen and Craig Barry available to wear the number 15 jumper.

Duncan told OFM Sport that it is a selection headache, but it is a good one to have.

“Yes, but look it’s nice to be in that position where get to make a selection as opposed to being forced to select a player because you have no other option.

“We’ve seen this season where we’ve gone through a bit of a cycle where we were bit limited in the flyhalf department and then also one or two other positions.

“Among the loose-forwards we have a couple of injuries now, but I suppose that its part of the game.

“At this moment in time to have the selection that we do at outside-back, we’re very fortunate.”

The hooker, Torsten van Jaarveld, who will once again lead the side in the absence of Francois Venter, added that it’s always good to get injured players back, and both Coertzen and Barry will bring something to the team.

“It’s always good getting guys back from injury, especially guys we experience.

“I think we are all really excited to see Clayton Blommetjies back in the number 15 jersey. He has really worked hard over the past six weeks or so. He is looking really fresh, he is looking really exciting and fit, so really looking forward to seeing him back on the pitch.

“Craig and AJ are really exciting players and I think they’ve done really well at their unions, Western Province and the Griquas and hopefully they can just make us proud”.

Friday evening’ match at the Toyota Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
