More player movements are expected at the Toyota Cheetahs for next season with more players leaving and arriving.

The fullback, Clayton Blommetjies, who was named as the man of the match for his performance against the Dragons in Newport on Friday night in the Guinness Pro14, has been linked with a move to the current champions, Scarlets.

He has also been linked with a possible move to the Exeter Chiefs in England, however, the Cheetahs are trying to retain the player’s services.

Uzair Cassiem of Cheetahs has already been confirmed as a Scarlets player as from 1 July.

At the same token, the former Junior Springbok loose forward, Aidon Davis, who plays for the French club, Bayonne, has been linked with a move to the Cheetahs.

Davis played in the “Test” for the Southern Africa Schools in 2012, and then went on to represent the Junior Springboks in eight matches in 2013/14.

The side is also said to be in discussions with the Sharks for Tera Mtembu on a loan deal.

The Cheetahs has seen a spate of players confirming their departures in the past couple of weeks. The bulk of the players, six to be exact, have been contracted by Japanese clubs. The latest of them is the flyhalf, Niel Marais.
