The Springbok coach, Rassie Erasmus, is expected to make a few changes to his side which will face France in Paris on Saturday.

At this stage, it appears that Willie le Roux is set to return as the fullback in the place of Damian Willemse, while Faf de Klerk should replace Ivan van Zyl at scrumhalf.

If Eben Etzebeth is fit, it will be interesting to see if Warren Whiteley has done enough to retain his spot in the side.

Should Etzebeth be declared fit, Pieter-Steph du Toit may move from the second-row to the back-row to make room for Franco Mostert.

The centre, Damian de Allende, is expected to form the midfield combination again along with Jesse Kriel, after a solid game against England.

De Allende conceded that rectifying the mistakes from Twickenham will be a priority.

“We are focussing on ourselves and where we can rectify the mistakes we made against England so that we can improve and play better against France.

“We are constantly working on making our combination better, as well with the other players in the squad who also covers the midfield positions, and then also with our teammates on the outside of midfield.

“Our approach to the matches up in the northern hemisphere has also changed a bit because you have to respect the conditions in Europe and the way the game is played up here.

“We learnt a lot from the Test that we lost against England in Cape Town in June, in very wet conditions.

“I think we are getting there, and we are working on how to vary our game so that we can constantly look for opportunities on the field,

Saturday’s Test at Stade de France kicks off at 22:05.
