ANC distances itself from Mahumapelo's remarks─── 11:54 Mon, 03 Feb 2020
The ANC is distancing itself from its MP Supra Mahumapelo's remarks on the Public Protector.
Mahumapelo told journalists the ANC won't support Busisiwe Mkhwebane's removal from office.
The former North West Premier also says Mkhwebane is doing a sterling job.
The ANC says Mahumaphelo was speaking in his personal capacity.
The governing party says it's yet to discuss and take a position on the matter.
It's urging its members to subject themselves to organisational discipline.
National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise has already approved a DA request to oust Mkhwebane. Mkhwebane is questioning the Parliamentary process to remove her, saying it's legally flawed.
