The last four matches in the round of 32 of the Nedbank Cup was played on Wednesday night and the defending champions, SuperSport United, are through to the next round.


In Pietermaritzburg Thabo Mnyamane and Jeremy Brockie found the back of the net to ensure SuperSport of a 2-1 over Royal Eagles.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic man Lerato Manzini scored in the 58th minute for Chippa United during their 1-0 over Witbank Spurs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Mogakolodi Ngele scored a brace for Wits as Gavin Hunts’ chargers secured a 2-0 over Cape Town All Stars at the Athlone Stadium in the Mother City and Henrico Botes scored an 87th minute winner for Platinum Stars as Dikwena beat AmaZulu 3-2 at the Moruleng Stadium.

The other teams through to the round of 16 are Bloemfontein Celtic, Free State Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Cape Town City, Golden Arrows, Jomo Cosmos, Polokwane City, Baroka FC, KwaDukuza United and Acornbush.

The draw for the last 16 will be conducted on Thursday night in Johannesburg at 19:30.

Nedbank Cup last 16 Draw Procedure:

•  All 16 clubs will be placed in one pot.
• There will be no seeding.
• In each sequence, the first ball to the drawn will be the home club and the second ball will be their opponent, the away club.
• This process will be repeated until all fixtures are finalised.
